Bellingham Repertory Dance presents December Dance Days, a festive series of dance classes during the holiday season. From December 5 - January 2, BRD members and guest instructors will offer classes every Sunday at the Firehouse Arts and Events Center. We hope you will join us!

An improvisation dance class to look ahead at the astrology of 2022! In astrology, the planets are archetypes that can be translated into movement qualities. We will first learn the movement qualities of each planet. Then we will use various improvisation exercises to explore how the planets interact with each other in the coming year. In doing so, we will create a kinesthetic relationship to the astrological forecast of 2022!  All are welcome; no experience is necessary in either astrology or dance.   

Soleil Chappelle is a contemporary dance artist who explores creative process and teaching through the lens of philosophy and phenomenology. Soleil developed Archetypal Movement Research, a method to dance astrology while studying with Archetypal Astrologers such as Richard Tarnas in the Philosophy, Cosmology, and Consciousness program at California Institute of Integral Studies. Originally  from Seattle, Soleil received a BFA in performance from Naropa University in 2011 and an MA in philosophy in 2016. Soleil joined BRD when they moved to Bellingham in 2019 and is grateful to be a member of this long-running, fluid, and innovative collective of dancers.
