BRD is excited to present this special class taught by guest artist, Wesley Ensminger. Wesley's class is an eclectic and full bodied experience that focuses on applying the roots and ideals of Release Technique to find a healthy ease throughout the body as well as the ability to attack movement. This class utilizes the floor as a partner instead of just a surface, explores oppositional directions to help discover length and stability and delves into the relationship between strength and effortlessness. Through various set exercises starting from the ground up that are built to warm up the body and the mind, as well as an open ended and adaptable process of creating phrase-work together as a group, each dancer will test their boundaries and research their own individual and authentic voice as a mover.
